Canadian Rocky Mountain FestivalThe Canadian Rocky Mountain Festival is an exciting and revolutionary approach, which highlights performing, listening and learning. This festival is held every year at the Banff Centre and is considered the ‘Jewel of Music Festivals' in Canada . The format of the festival is unlike most others. More than half of the festival involves clinics and workshops and each year they offer great guest artists and performing groups! You do not just come and perform at the festival; you are an integral part of it. The Canadian Rocky Mountain Festival offers performance, clinic and workshop opportunities for Concert Bands, Concert/Chamber Choirs, Jazz Bands and Jazz Choirs. Creative Arts WorkshopsCAWS have been dedicated in providing an enriching educational experience to both individuals and performing groups. Bands, Choirs and Orchestras of all levels are eligible to join either a competitive or non-competitive setting. Both classifications will receive critiques/working clinics and awards. * comprehensive adjudication by the finest music educators In 1999, C.A.W. added Musical Carousel Events for "A Fun Day for One Day" will include a music festival performance, critiqued by evaluators on tape and a rating plaque provided. Instrumental, Choral and Marching groups may participate for rating only, or in competition. Participating groups also have the option to attend a sight-reading program or a clinic with an adjudicator. Music in the Parks One Day Festival: Performance occurs between 8 AM and 3 PM . The afternoon is spent in the amusement park with the awards ceremony held at the park in the late afternoon or early evening. On the next morning, all parade groups perform. The second day is spent at the park with the awards ceremony in the park in the early evening. Divisions Instrumental: Concert Band, Orchestra, String Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Parade Band. Choral: Mixed Choir, Jazz Swing Choir, Madrigal Choir, Men's Choir, Show Choir, Treble Choir and Women's Choir. Performance Sites: All performances take place in schools, hotel, colleges and churches near the park. Performances do not take place in the park. (back to top) |

North American Music Festivals North American Music Festivals was created for discerning Music Directors who care about quality value, music education and most importantly rewarding their students' year of dedication and hard work with a positive festival experience which showcases your program's achievements. * All festivals are open to high school, junior high school and middle school ensembles. * Each festival guarantees adjudication opportunities for Concert Bands / Wind Ensembles, Orchestras, String Orchestras, Jazz Ensembles, Mixed Chorus, Show Choirs, Jazz Choirs, Women's Chorus, Men's Chorus and Madrigal Choirs. All ensembles, from fledgling to advance, will receive a first class festival experience. You can enter your group for "Competition", "Festival Rating" or "Comments Only", whichever is more appropriate for your ensemble's level of development. Performance Sites: Beautiful and acoustically pleasing, professional and university concert halls make up the bulk of concert performance venues. Most large percussion items as well as choral risers etc are supplied. Music Education: Constructive comments from top quality adjudicators will support what you have been teaching your students all year. You receive cassette-taped comments in addition to the score sheets, plus all adjudication's are followed by a brief clinic with one of the judges so your students have instant feedback. Awards: Elegant trophies and plaques reward you and your students for a year of hard work and musical growth.
